As a musician
I started music at the age of 10. Alongside violin, viola, and clarinet, piano was — and still is — my main instrument.
I sang in a choir, played the organ in our church, and played electric piano on a Hohner strings keyboard in a symphonic rock band. I performed in two ball orchestras on a Fender Rhodes piano, and later again on a Roland D50 in a pop orchestra playing self-composed songs. For twelve years, I directed a small choir that grew into a concert choir. I’ve written a number of compositions and taught piano for twenty years.
As a painter
Drawing and painting began as soon as I could hold a pen and a brush — simply as a way to spend free time. As a teenager, I attended an art academy for a while, though I didn’t really learn anything new there. It has always been, and still is, about exploring new materials on my own.
